Volunteer Clean-Up at Seven Pines Battlefield/Meadow Road

Capital Region Land Conservancy and Richmond Battlefields Association partner for a Park Day trash clean-up of a core battlefield area of the Battle of Seven Pines in Sandston, Virginia. This wooded property will eventually be protected in perpetuity through a land conservation easement and be operated by the Richmond Battlefields Association as a public park. Park Day is an annual program of the American Battlefield Trust.

Time Commitment:
Saturday, April 26, 2025; 10:00am-12:00pm. Volunteers are invited to stay the entire time or a portion of the cleanup.

Location:
1925 Meadow Road Sandston, Virginia 23250
Please meet at the Forest Meadows Community located at 700 Early Forest Circle Sandston, Virginia 23150, which is next to the wooded area to be cleaned.

Notes:
Volunteers are asked to arrive at 10:00am for orientation. There is ample parking along Early Forest Circle.

Trash bags, gloves and trash pickers will be available but volunteers are welcome to bring their own preferred gloves or tools. Please dress comfortably as we will be outside for the duration of the project. Regardless of the weather, we strongly recommend wearing long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy shoes or rain boots to protect yourself from any potential hazards and wet conditions. We look forward to working with you! In the event of storms or heavy rain, this event will be canceled.
