
Clean The Bay Day at Dock Street Park

Capital Region Land Conservancy is proud to partner with the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation in the 2025 Clean the Bay Day, a program of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
Help CRLC and the City of Richmond beautify the city’s newest park located along the James River which now protects “The View That Named Richmond.” Dock Street Park is under conservation easement with Capital Region Land Conservancy and the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Clean the Bay Day is an annual statewide effort that has massive impact. Since the event began in 1989, this Virginia tradition has engaged more than 165,500 volunteers who have removed approximately 7.18 million pounds of debris from our land and waterways.
Time Commitment:
Saturday, June 7, 2025; 9:00am-12:00pm
Location:
Dock Street Park and surrounding areas. Parking is available in surrounding areas including on Main Street, Wharf Street, Great Shiplock Park.
Notes:
Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:00am for orientation. Trash bags, gloves and trash pickers will be available but volunteers are welcome to bring their own preferred gloves or tools. Please dress comfortably as we will be outside for the duration of the project. Regardless of the weather, we recommend close-toed shoes to protect from potential hazards.
