CRLC & DWR Wildlife Corridor Workshops
March 20 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Free
CRLC in partnership with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources invite the community to a free informational workshop about Virginia’s Wildlife Biodiversity Resilience Corridors. Learn about Virginia’s Wildlife Corridor, conservation easements, and how landowners can possibly reap financial benefits while supporting wildlife. The same presentation will be offered on Thursday, March 20 from 9:30am-11:30am and Tuesday, March 25 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Chesterfield County’s Clover Hill Library at 6701 Deer Run Drive Midlothian, VA 23111. Refreshments provided.
Land plays an important role in connecting routes that wildlife routinely travel. Virginia’s Wildlife Corridor Action Plan seeks to protect vital wildlife habitat corridors and reduce wildlife-vehicle conflicts, such as collisions, to promote driver safety. Through land conservation easements, CRLC hopes to connect these corridors and create long-term sustainability of wildlife biodiversity.
