ABOUT Writing the Land:
Writing the Land: Windblown I is a national anthology of poetry by 25 poets inspired by the conserved lands of 11 land trusts. Capital Region Land Conservancy participated with 4 local poets who took to the forests, rivers, and fields that we protect. With broad creative freedom, these poets spent time on these lands, learned about their history, and dreamed about their future.
Ultimately, 10 poems exploring these lands have been published across 16 pages in the 2022 edition of the Windblown I anthology. Enjoy poems on these CRLC lands by the following authors:
- Varina LandLab, Henrico County – Maria Elena Scott
- Warwick Road, City of Richmond – Gwyn R. C. Moses
- James River Park System, City of Richmond – Joanna Lee
- Malvern Hill Farm, Henrico County – Dorina Wegener
GET YOUR COPY OF THE BOOK: You can order a copy of the poetry anthology (for pick-up at CRLC’s office) through our online order form or buy a copy at local bookstores Chop Suey Books and Book People Richmond!
