The Three Easements of Goochland County

Comprised of three separate easements in a rural agricultural area of Goochland County, the contiguous Midway I, Midway II, and Satterfield properties contribute to the preservation of water quality in Lickinghole Creek and thus the James River and the scenic, rural character of Goochland County. Together these easements conserve over 270 acres, including the historic Midway Farm that consists of an 1800’s two-story frame dwelling, several log sheds, and a cemetery. The easements protect agricultural soils, mixed-hardwood and pine forest and floodplain, shoreline and wetlands along Big Lickinghole Creek.
