Originally purchased for outdoor recreation, the 170.09 acres known as Chickahominy Crossing was donated via a conservation easement to CRLC and the Henricopolis Soil and Water Conservation District (HSWCD) on September 11, 2023. Located on the county lines between Henrico County and Hanover, it is bound by the headwaters of the Chickahominy River and Interstate I-95 North.

The property contains more than 120 acres of freshwater forested/shrub wetlands and three historic sites identified by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, one of which may be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
